IS LIFE LIKE SCHOOL?

life and school

Everyone always says “life is like a classroom.”
This is probably true, I suppose. We are put here to learn.

But when people say “life is like school,” well that is another question.

Life has taught me that.

Peace,
David

Kenai River and taking credit

kenai river cartoon

I did this cartoon for the local newspaper here in Soldotna, Alaska.
The world’s finest salmon stream runs trough our town. The Kenai River.

The Dept. of Fish and Game (FAG) and other state agencies have
been sytematically destroying the King Salmon run for over 25 years,
with their “management.”

Lately the river was removed from the list of polluted rivers after
a moratorium was established removing all but four-stroke motors
from the river.

So, as I see it, they are proudly waving a flag that they cleaned up
the river, once again doing a better job thatn Nature could possibly do.

Of course, weren’t they the ones that got it all dirty in the first place?

Therefore, I felt this cartoon is relevant to most agency actions worldwide
when it comes to attempting to “manage” nature.
Peace,
David

Alaska Politicians (mostly Don [sic] Young)

passing wind cartoon

Yep…DON YOUNG and all the other “brilliant” representatives of Alaskan polyticks
are at it again. Last I heard from Mr. Young was that he was going to do
everything he can to strip the EPA of any power to govern his and other greedy
concerns in our neighborhood.

My feeling on this, and towards him, cannot be printed, and in fact, I don’t think
there are words created that would be sufficient.

Maybe I can ask Sarah Palin to make some up for me?

Bear Hugs…get ‘em while they last

BEE PEE

beepee cartoon

Sorry, but it had to be done.
Go ahead…it’s okay to just giggle once in awhile!

By the way, I apologize for not getting to this blog in awhile.
When summer makes it’s brief appearance up here in Alaska,
time becomes a premium divided between chores, repairs, gardens, and fishing.
Cartoons suffer a bit from lack of attention. But, they’ll get over it.
They always do.

Bear Hugs,
David
