Get Your Google Goggles Here!

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

The name Google is pretty cool in my humble opinion, so I love David’s take-offs on the name. This one is one of my favorites. Of course, the Google Giggle (see 12/12/07 blog entry) is pretty great too. I’m thinking of asking David to create a cartoon for,”Going Google GaGa”. Bear hugs, Frankie

Actually, these are an invention of mine. Cool shades that when people look at you, they see a reflection that looks like your “Google-ing” Polar bears and Global warming and other educational stuff.

That way they never guess you’ve actually gone to one of those sites that has been relentlessly spamming you for weeks… Hugs, David

So, what is new? We’ll let’s see. When I was a kid the doctor would come to the house if we were sick. It seemed that the only two medicines he ever gave us was either aspirin or the dreaded penicillin shot in the rump.

If I saw a police officer, I felt safe and protected. I’ve asked a lot of different folks lately what their first reaction is when they see a cop, and they all reply, “fear.”

We’ve made incredible advancements in technologies since I was a child. And I find it all quite thrilling. Hey, I really enjoy all the gadgets. I just hope that we can make the same progress learning to love and care about each other and our planet.

Otherwise, I guess there’s not going to be much of a world in which to enjoy all our new stuff. Hugs, David

P.S. Congratulations to Frankie for being nominated for ‘lens of the year” at Squidoo!! It was that very site that caught my attention a few months ago, when I felt I was almost the only one caring at all about the bears and their predicament. I sent Frankie an e-mail introducing myself, and the rest is history.

Are you Polar Bear Aware” is by far the most informative site on the internet regarding polar bears, period. If you haven’t checked it out, please do so. It’s informative, entertaining, and fun. To see all 11 nominees and vote, go to Lens of the Year.

Snoo Series Continued

Friday, January 18th, 2008

The 3rd in David’s Snoo series. I think of it as the “who’s on first?” parody with a twist. Enjoy. Bear hugs, Frankie

They say that to “ere is human.” Although we, as humans, keep proving this statement to be true, over and over again, I don’t think it’s appropriate to feel we have the right to continue to do so.

There comes a time when we are suppose to learn from our mistakes. More importantly, we need to fix the things we have broken.

It’s really a pretty simple thing. We simply have to change a bit. Changing how we relate to other people would be a start.

We share this planet, our home, with all the other living creatures, including the other peoples. Everything we do affects everyone and everything else that live here. It’s as simple as that. Hugs, David
